The 1KA Panel research group consists of members of the Center for Social Informatics (CSI). The CSI research group is globally recognized in the field of online surveys. As early as 1996, its members were the first to conduct pioneering research in the field of online survey methodology and have contributed highly cited publications (including articles with around two thousand citations) and a core global publication in this field (Web Survey Methodology, Sage – online access). They have also developed an open-source tool for online surveys – 1KA. In recent years, they have been working extensively on online panels (Vehovar and Čehovin, 2022; Ivanovska and Vehovar, 2025). This has also led to the creation of the Probability Online Panel 1KA.
