Research Group
The 1KA Panel team consists of members of the Centre for Social Informatics (CSI). The CSI research group is globally recognized in the field of online surveys. As early as 1996, its members were the first to conduct pioneering research in the field of online survey methodology and have contributed highly cited publications (including articles with around two thousand citations) and a central global monograph in this field (Web Survey Methodology, Sage – online access). They have also developed an open-source tool for online surveys – 1KA. In recent years, they have been working extensively on online panels (Vehovar and Čehovin, 2022; Ivanovska and Vehovar, 2025). This has also led to the creation of the 1KA Online Probability Panel.

Centre for Social Informatics
Other CSI staff members are also available for specific methodological and content-related consultations. CSI is the largest research center at the Faculty of Social Sciences, employing 28 researchers. Its work focuses on the interaction between digital technologies and contemporary society. On the one hand, CDI activities address the use of digital technologies as a research tool in the social sciences (especially online surveys), and on the other hand, the effects of digital technologies on society, especially their use among young people, issues of digital inequality, the issue of internet privacy, and e-health and e-care (especially among the elderly).
